Tattooing in Hartlepool, North East England.
Mark and Julie are both tattooists. They have had a passion for and been involved with the art of tattooing since their teens.
As they are both qualified artists with many years tattooing experience they are able to tattoo in the full variety of tattooing styles meaning they do not need to limit themselves nor their clients’ design choice to just one specific style.
Clients have the options such as the following:
Having Mark or Julie create their unique tattooing freehand/freestyle, choosing from standard flash (or customising it to suit their own tastes). Clients may also bring in their own design ideas.
Clients can choose from styles such as Japanese, Photo realistic, Art Nouveau, Abstract, Tribal, Black ‘n’ grey, Bold colour, Subtle colour etc.
Mark and Julie are as happy when creating small tattoos as they are when they are creating full sleeves and back pieces.
Our tattooing rooms are private from public view; an added advantage to those many clients who prefer to be discreet about their body art. We also fully understand that anyone can be nervous when having a tattoo even if it’s not their first tattoo. We are trained in relaxation techniques which, along with our patience and our caring approach, can be of comfort to even the most nervous of clients.
Mark & Julie are both thoroughly experienced in covering up old/unwanted tattoos with their own custom freehand/freestyle tattooing.
Needles/Tubes
The needles and also the needle tubes (the part of the machine the tattooist holds while tattooing) that we use come in sterile packs and are disposed of immediately after your tattooing session. These disposable plastic tubes are the safest, most hygienic form of tattooing tube available.
Inks/Pigments
We have a vast range of colours, each colour itself being available in many different shades. Our range also includes a large tonal selection of black'n’ grey water shading inks - many are our own specially mixed tones.
We use vegan tattooing inks which are made from organic pigment that has been sterilized and passes stringent EU requirements.
Other equipment
We use disposable plastic machine, utensil and surface coverings during our tattooing process. We also use disposable oversleeves and aprons and disposable nitrile gloves instead of the latex variety which have been found to be incompatible with standard skin softening products used within the tattooing process. All the aforementioned are disposed of immediately after your tattooing session. As well as needles & tubes our ink caps & any unused ink they contain are also disposed of immediately after your tattooing session.
Appointments/Consultations
We work by appointment as we customise tattoos to suit each individual client. Same day appointments are sometimes available, however for our clients’ own benefit we prefer to thoroughly discuss design options prior to the day of tattooing to prevent any hasty decisions regarding design requests. We therefore offer a free of charge consultation prior to the day of tattooing.
Aftercare
We cover our fresh tattoos with sterile non-stick dressings and surgical tape. This is the procedure recommended by senior health officials advising the environmental health department regarding tattooing aftercare.
Tattoo aftercare leaflets are issued to our clients. We also encourage our clients to take advantage of our free aftercare advice service where they can return for us to check their new tattoo during and after its healing process.
We also sell TAC aftercare balm (100% natural)
Under British law you must be over 18 years old to be tattooed (Tattooing of Minors Act 1969). If you are under 21 please be prepared to show us valid ID.)
